Mission Statement

Moveen N.S. is a co-educational Catholic primary school, which strives to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed. The school is committed to the aims and principles of the revised (1999) Primary School Curriculum. While Moveen N.S. is a school with a Catholic ethos, it also has due recognition for all other religions.

Morning and Afterschool Childcare

A morning and afterschool childcare facility is operated on the grounds of the school each day. The morning childcare operates from 8.20-9am each day and the afterschool childcare runs from 2-4.30pm each day. To register your child and to book a place, please contact Martina Flaherty on moveenbeforeandafter@gmail.com. 

Extra-Curricular Activities

Moveen N.S. provides a range of extra-curricular activities for pupils throughout the week. On Monday afternoons, football training takes place for students from 3rd to 6th in O'Currys Field, weather permitting. Quizzing takes place on Tuesday afternoons for students from 3rd to 6th class. Traditional music lessons takes place on Wednesday afternoons and guitar lessons take place on Thursday afternoons. These extra-curricular activities take place in the school free of charge and are provided by teachers.
